GIRLS WITH A PURPOSE
Girls with a Purpose is a dynamic and engaging four-week in-person leadership program, launched in 2022, specifically tailored for high school girls. The program's inception was marked by its first cohort, comprising six pioneering young women who embarked on a transformative journey.
This comprehensive program aims to equip these students with a wide range of skills and knowledge, essential for achieving excellence in their personal, academic, and professional endeavors. It goes beyond the traditional curriculum, focusing on cultivating leadership qualities, enhancing financial literacy, and teaching practical life skills. This is complemented by training in etiquette and effective networking strategies, which are crucial for success in today's interconnected world.
Moreover, GWAP places a significant emphasis on career exploration. The participants have the unique opportunity to listen to and engage with professionals from various fields, gaining insights into different career paths. This exposure is vital in helping them make informed decisions about their future careers.
Interactive career field trips are another highlight of the program, offering real-world experiences and a glimpse into the daily lives of professionals in various industries. These excursions are not just educational but are designed to inspire and ignite a passion for different professions.
The program's holistic approach ensures that each participant develops a robust set of skills, from leadership to financial management, all tailored to foster self-confidence and ambition. GIRLS AND BOYS WITH A PUROSE COLLEGE FAIR is a pioneering initiative designed to bridge the information gap between higher education institutions and young students in the Metro Atlanta area. Recognizing the importance of early exposure to college and career possibilities, this initiative brings comprehensive college fairs to counties across the region, targeting middle and high school students.
These fairs are more than just informational booths; they are dynamic, interactive events where students can engage directly with representatives from various colleges and universities. The fairs will include workshops on college preparation, financial aid, scholarship opportunities, and career planning. These sessions are aimed at empowering students with the knowledge and resources to make informed decisions about their educational futures.
In addition to college and university booths, the fairs will feature motivational speakers, alumni panels, and hands-on activities related to different fields of study. This approach ensures that students not only gather information but also experience the excitement and possibilities that higher education offers.
The initiative also includes a digital platform, providing ongoing access to resources, webinars, and guidance for students, parents, and educators. This ensures that the benefits of the fairs extend beyond the events themselves, supporting students throughout their educational journey.

Thrive Feeds: Making an Impact with Panera Bread’s Day-End Dough-Nation® Program
At Thrive USA, our mission to combat food insecurity in our community has been greatly supported through our participation in Panera Bread’s Day-End Dough-Nation® program. This incredible initiative by Panera Bread allows nonprofit organizations like ours to receive unsold bread and bakery products at the end of each day, ensuring that these fresh, high-quality items reach those who need them most.
During our time in the program, Thrive USA was able to serve 50 people every week through our Feed to Thrive program. The donations from Panera Bread were a vital resource, helping us to provide consistent, nutritious meals to individuals and families facing food insecurity. This partnership allowed us to extend our reach and deepen our impact within the community.
The Day-End Dough-Nation® program exemplifies the power of collaboration in addressing hunger and food waste. We are proud to have been part of this initiative and look forward to continuing our efforts to nourish and uplift our community through partnerships like this.
